Bug fixes
- Using a cryopod on a dinosaur with specialized harvest levels no longer eliminates those levels when deployed.
- This will also refund any missing upgrade points on currently damaged dinosaurs.
- Disables enemy checks on Cryo deployments on PVE servers.
- This can be overridden in GameUserSettings using DisableCryopodEnemyCheck=False
- Using Cryopods no longer removes the Nuetered status of dinosaurs when deployed.
- Fixed server crash issue.

Soft Tame Server Limitations – These changes are still disabled by default on all platforms, but here are the upcoming changes.
- Implemented a new Soft Tame server limit, with the default set to 5000 dinos.
- Currently, this feature is disabled by default on official and unofficial servers, but can be enabled with further configuration. We will consider enabling this feature on our official network in late January, depending on the impact of freezing on our servers.
- Dinosaurs that exceed the soft taming server limit will be marked “For Cryo” and display an icon and a timer indicating how long they need to be cryogenically processed before being automatically destroyed.
- Dinosaurs marked by this system and destroyed will be recorded in the tribe log
- This differs from the standard taming limit, as it still allows new players to join the server and tame creatures above the 5000 limit, whereas previously, they could not tame or breed creatures above the server cap.
- Soft Tame server limits configurable settings:
- GameUserSettings.ini under [ServerSettings]
- DestroyTamesOverTheSoftTameLimit=True – allows destruction of tamed objects that exceed the limit, defaults to false
- MaxTamedDinos_SoftTameLimit=5000 – Set server-wide soft taming limit
- MaxTamedDinos_SoftTameLimit_CountdownForDeletionDuration=604800 – Sets the destruction timer in seconds

Ark: Survival Ascend was announced in March 2023, with its first gameplay trailer released during the Xbox Partner Preview Showcase on October 25, 2023, coinciding with its release date. The remaster features an overhaul of graphics, utilizing Unreal Engine 5 to enhance visual effects, character models, and environments.
The game is currently in early access and includes a base version, a remastered Scorched Earth DLC, and a battle royale mode. Future plans for 2024 include the addition of expansion packs such as Aberration, Extinction, Genesis Part 1, and Genesis Part 2, setting the stage for the eventual release of Ark 2.

- Cross-Platform Mods: Download and play custom content created by players via the in-game mod browser, including maps, mobs, items, and game modes.
- Cross-platform multiplayer: Form an online clan across different gaming platforms for collaborative survival. Supports public online multiplayer for up to 70 players, private session multiplayer for up to 8 players, and local split-screen for 2 players.
