Baldur’s Gate 3 Hotfix 4 Patch Notes

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 4 Update

Larian Studios has temporarily reinstated Hotfix 4 for Baldur’s Gate 3 due to reported crashes in the new version. The game has been reverted to Hotfix 3 while Larian has fixed the issues and is preparing for a Hotfix 4 re-release. Original story: Baldur’s Gate 3’s latest update, Hotfix 4, has successfully fixed many glitches and issues, including resolving the sleepy companion issue.

This patch is a precursor to the upcoming major update, Patch 1, which contains over 1,000 fixes and enhancements spanning the entire game. The main goal of this patch is to correct several bugs that caused players to encounter error conditions or progress-stopping issues. Notably, a major improvement ensures players are no longer immobilized by unresponsive companions during long rests.

Further modifications include enhancing the health of Isabelle, an NPC who needs protection during specific missions, to extend her survivability. Additionally, a fix has been implemented to fully restore all resources when the player ends the second act. Various multiplayer issues, such as characters disappearing during split-screen play after reconnecting and visibility issues with multiplayer servers on GOG, are also being worked on.

Larian has designated some of these bug fixes as potential spoilers, so all changes (including spoiler content) are fully detailed below. Recent news shows that “Baldur’s Gate 3” will be pre-loaded on PS5 soon, and buyers of the Digital Deluxe Edition can experience the game two days in advance.
