Blood Flower Ending Explanation

At the end of Blood Flower, the story reaches a gripping climax and some shocking truths are revealed. Upon discovering the existence of a demon in Hantu Raya associated with the blood flower, Iqbal devised a plan to confront and imprison the demon. Under the demon’s influence, A’Tong attacks Norman, prompting Iqbal to intervene and save A’Tong. He is ready to confront the demon and plans to lock it away to prevent it from entering the real world.

Iqbal adopts an animalistic attitude when approaching the blood flowers in the greenhouse. Meanwhile, a possessed Iqbal discovers a crumpled piece of paper in a classified room, leading to a tense confrontation with Norman, who pleads to rescue his son. The entity has sinister intentions, criticizing Norman’s weaknesses, including the loss of his wife and potential harm to his son.

Eventually, Iqbal managed to escape the demon’s influence and revealed that Hantu Raya entered Jameel’s house through the blood flower of Sumatra. Surprisingly, Farah speaks through Ah Xiaozi’s possessed body and wants to return to her family.

The story takes a dark turn when Jamil’s separation from his family stems from his disturbing and amoral relationship with his own daughter, Farah. He neglected her during her pregnancy, confining her to a room and realizing that there was an evil spirit within her, driven by Hantu Raya’s pursuit of his master.

Driven by suspicion and fear, Jameel committed heinous acts, including injuring Farah and throwing the baby’s remains against a blood-stained wall. Upon Jamil’s return, horrific secrets are revealed that lead to his downfall. In contrast, Iqbal embraced his supernatural abilities and continued to help others, vowing to confront and fight the forces of evil.

Blood Flower Review

The movie “Blood Flower” that Shude decided to star in was the first Malaysian film they shot. It is a supernatural thriller also known as “Harum Malam” in Bahasa Malaysia. The story revolves around Iqbal, a young man who inherits from his mother Dina a unique ability to see demons and supernatural beings.

The film was praised for its visual effects and cinematography. In fact, cinematographer Jordan Wei Ming Chiam becomes the unsung hero, stealing the show with his stunning camera work. Chiam’s specialty is exploiting the inherent claustrophobia of the apartment building’s narrow corridors and rooms to effectively elevate the film’s mood even in the most familiar of settings. Chiam’s camera work weaves a gripping visual narrative.

The CGI also shows off the quality and effectiveness of the mix, particularly in the dimly lit scenes where people are dragged against walls, in contrast to the jerky and unpolished demonic characters that evoke memories of subpar stop-motion animation.

In “Bloody Flowers,” Jim’s cinematography not only heightens the tension in the film, but also provides a haunting and unsettling visual experience despite the film’s occasional fluctuations in CGI quality.
