“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” is a first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision Blizzard. In multiplayer mode, all 16 maps of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be accessible at launch. Players can vote for maps in the matchmaking lobby, a feature returning after being omitted from some recent games. The “red dot” minimap, which was not present in Modern Warfare 2019, is back with a vengeance, showing the location of enemies when they fire unsuppressed weapons. Unlike traditional turn-based Zombies, it follows a DMZ mode structure, with up to 24 players forming squads to battle zombies and AI-controlled human enemies to complete objectives, collect loot, and extract items. The mode introduces “zones” instead of rounds, with escalating difficulty levels. Aetherstorms and narrative-driven story missions add depth to the experience.
