Bug fixes
- Survivors are no longer able to collide through lockers under certain circumstances
- Added missing animations for survivors placing Explosive Mines or Eavesdropping Traps on generators to prevent survivors from becoming invisible and unhittable in certain situations
NOTE: With this bug fix, we are re-enabling the flashlight along with three additional features: Drama, Assessment, and Remaining List.

Developed by Behavior Interactive, Dead by Daylight is a gripping online asymmetrical multiplayer survival horror game in which one player becomes the killer and the other players assume the roles of survivors. The killer’s goal is to capture and sacrifice the survivors, while the survivors work together to repair the generator and escape through the exit.

Dead by Daylight gameplay
Dead by Daylight offers a gripping asymmetrical horror experience where one player becomes the killer and the others become survivors. The survivors work to repair the generators to escape, while the killer hunts them down and impales them with hooks. If escape options are narrowed, an “endgame crash” is triggered.

Survivors can hide, stun with pallets, and use various items, while each killer has unique powers. A “terror radius” and “red stain” signal the killer’s presence, heightening the tension. Dead by Daylight combines strategy and tension to create an engaging multiplayer horror adventure.

Dead by Daylight release date
Dead by Daylight came out on different machines at different times. It first came to Windows on June 14, 2016. It then launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on June 20, 2017 (North America), June 22, 2017 (Australia), and June 23, 2017 (Europe). It will be available for Nintendo Switch players on September 24, 2019, and will be available for Android and iPhone users on April 17, 2020.
Starting October 1, 2020 for Stadia players and November 10, 2020 for Xbox Series X/S players. It starts on November 12, 2020 for PlayStation 5 players in North America and November 19, 2020 in Europe. These different release dates allow players on different machines to try out the game’s particular horror gameplay at their own pace.
