In the story, Peter Parker starts working as a teacher at Miles Morales’ school. They face an attack by a man named Flint Marko and work together to stop him. Meanwhile, a seriously ill Harry Osborn makes an unexpected recovery and offers Peter a job on a new project to make the world a better place.

Peter and Miles run into trouble after witnessing Kraven the Hunter capture a super-powered being. Kraven wanted to hunt them for fun, and he killed some of them. Felicia Hardy was one of these people and escaped with their help. Later, Peter, Mary Jane, and Harry visit Coney Island and see Kraven’s hunters attacking. Harry revealed that he was healed by a black symbiote that gave him powers. As his powers grew, Harry decided to help Peter, even saving him with the symbiote. After Peter and Harry rescued Curt Connors, Kraven turned him into a monster and Peter was seriously injured. The symbiote saves him, but he starts wearing it and Kraven becomes interested in hunting him down. Meanwhile, Miles is captured by Kraven and forced to fight Martin Lee. Despite his anger, Miles helps Lee escape and instructs him to find Peter. They eventually find Miles, who convinces Peter to get rid of the symbiote.
They take the symbiote to Oscorp to destroy it, but Harry, who is again seriously ill, intercepts them and turns into Venom. He wants to “heal the world” with symbiotes, and he’s starting in New York. Peter and Miles try to stop the invasion, but Peter is infected by another symbiote. With the help of Miles and Lee, he manages to take control of the situation. Mary Jane destroyed the meteorite that brought the symbiotes to Earth, wiping out all the symbiotes, including Venom.
After the chaos, Harry was rescued, but in a coma. Mary Jane started her own podcast, moved in with Peter, and took a break from playing Spider-Man to focus on the Emily Mae Foundation. Norman Osborn pressured Otto Octavius to reveal Spider-Man’s identity. Octavius refused and enjoyed Osborne’s pain. Meanwhile, Miles meets his mom’s new boyfriend and his daughter, Cindy.
