In Ready or Not, looking like an elite SWAT team requires donning a balaclava, a special headgear used in undercover operations. Unfortunately, the base game doesn’t have this option, but players can add it using Ballistic’s “Balaclava Addition” mod. Follow the steps below to install the mod and customize your character with a balaclava in “Ready” or “Not Ready”:
- Go to Nexus Mods and find the “Balaclava Addition” mod.
- Choose to install manually or install via Mod Manager.
- Restart “Ready” or “Not Ready” after installation.
- Log in to your Nexus Mods account to access mod downloads.
Once installed, you can find balaclava customization options in the game, available in black and tan. Please note that this mod works best with a helmet, and removing the helmet may reveal cutout parts. Please keep an eye on the game for updates, as developer VOID Interactive may add headgear to a future version of Ready or Not.

In Ready or Not, you play as David “Judge” Beaumont, the leader of a crime-fighting police team. It’s a realistic tactical shooter, which means it only takes a few shots to take you and your enemies down. Choose from a variety of guns and customize them with accessories. The game encourages capturing suspects alive and offers less-lethal options like Tasers. Fire discipline is critical because shooting an innocent person or restraining a suspect can have consequences.
There are five game modes with different challenges, including dealing with suspects, rescuing hostages, and defusing bombs. You can perform missions alone with your AI teammates or cooperatively with others online. A competitive player versus player mode is planned for a future version. “
