Originally, Save the World and Battle Royale were released as Early Access games in 2017, with Creative joining the fray on December 6, 2018. Of these modes, Battle Royale quickly gained immense popularity, attracting more than 125 million players in its first year and generating hundreds of millions of dollars every month. As of December 2019, the total revenue of the entire Fortnite game has reached a staggering $9 billion.
