Last Epoch is a video game produced by Eleventh Hour Games (EHG) and belongs to the hack-and-slash action role-playing genre. The game’s journey began with a free trial demo released in April 2018 as part of the Last Epoch Kickstarter campaign, giving players a taste of what was to come.

Next, the game entered beta in April 2019 and became available for early access via Steam. Last Epoch was originally scheduled for a full release in April 2020, but was rescheduled for a fourth-quarter release in 2020 due to delays. However, unforeseen circumstances resulted in further adjustments to the release schedule.
In December 2020, Eleventh Hour Games stated that the release of Last Epoch had been postponed to 2021. The game’s journey continues, with the launch of a multiplayer beta in March 2023, introducing new dynamics to the gaming experience. Finally, in October 2023, the developers revealed that the full version of Last Epoch would be officially launched on February 21, 2024, marking the culmination of their efforts and the expectations of players around the world.

Players choose one of five powerful classes to begin their adventure. As they progress, they have the opportunity to advance into unique mastery classes, unlocking specialized abilities and build options that suit their preferred playstyle. One of the game’s standout features is its extensive skill system, with over 120 skill trees. Each skill has its own enhancement tree, providing players with the ability to customize and enhance abilities.
For example, players can modify their skeleton to become an archer, convert their lightning attacks into chain lightning, or summon snakes to aid them in combat using the snake strike ability. Last Epoch combines time travel, dungeon crawling, character customization and endless replayability to deliver an immersive experience for action RPG veterans and newcomers to the genre.
