In Modern Warfare 3: Zombies, the story begins with a guy named Viktor Zakhaev, a bad guy who sells weapons. He discovers two containers containing a mysterious substance. When police tried to stop him, a fight broke out. In a desperate move, Zakaev breaks one of the containers, and a strange purple smoke turns everyone in the area into zombies.

The team is assigned a mission called “Operation Deadbolt” to stop Zakaev and a shadowy military organization called Terminus Outcomes. The gameplay of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is similar to its predecessor, Modern Warfare II, as well as other games in the series.
