Payday 3 is a video game that has gone through a series of important developments. It all started in May 2016, when the game’s developer, Starbreeze Studios, announced that they would be making Payday 3 after acquiring the rights to the game for around $30 million. In March 2021, Plaion committed €50 million to help with the development and marketing of the game, and pledged to support the game for more than 18 months after launch.
Payday 3 was originally built using Unreal Engine 4, but there are plans to upgrade to Unreal Engine 5 upon release. The console version of the game will be identical to the PC version, which differs from previous games thanks to the use of Unreal Engine.
The game announced a release date in June, with pre-orders for the special edition starting on September 18, 2023, and the standard edition launching on September 21, 2023. This marks an important step in the game’s journey from development to release.
