Star Ocean is a video game released in 2023 that is all about role-playing games. You can play it on various platforms including Windows, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. What’s cool is that it shares the same universe as another game released in 2018 called The Messenger. In this game, you will play as two heroes named Valere and Zale. These heroes possess special powers tied to the sun and moon, and their mission is to defeat the nefarious alchemists.

As you play Star Ocean, you’ll find yourself solving puzzles and entering turn-based combat. You’re not alone in this adventure, as you can control up to six different characters. This means you can work with others to tackle the challenges you encounter. The best part is: this game got a thumbs up from critics, which means it’s pretty good!

The guys who made this game are from Sabotage Studio and they did a great job. Directors Thierry Boulanger and Phillipe Dionne participated in the design of the film. Programming was handled by Sylvain Cloutier, with art by Michael Lavoie and Bryce Kho. Speaking of the story, Thierry Boulanger also plays a role in it. Last but not least, Eric W. Xinghai Swamp Device
When you successfully beat the game and save your progress, you will receive a message that says “A mysterious device has appeared in the wasteland.” The easiest way to find the device is to use the entrance in the lower left corner of the world map. Once there, go north, through the cave, and then west.
You’ll find this “mysterious device” surrounded by seven pillars. These pillars are related to specific tasks you need to complete, and they light up when you complete them. To light all pillars you need to do the following:

1. Complete all arena battles in Brisk.
2. Defeat the Gun Goddess on the Old Queen’s throne. To reach her, travel to the northeast, southeast, northeast, and east of the blue sky.
3. Complete all sunken ruins and defeat the sea slugs. On the world map you can activate a button to display several light beams. These allow you to activate underwater light buttons, leading to various ruins.
4. Complete all Solstice Temples and defeat the boss behind the portal on the mountain trail (located below the Ancient Mist Trial).
5. Find all 60 Rainbow Conch Shells and give them to the merchant in Lake Docaria.
6. Free Duke Aventry. You can start this “side quest” by entering the Romania secret passage on the world map.

After completing all these tasks, you can interact with the device to unlock the path to the final boss. Without giving away any spoilers, remember to talk to your companions after the cutscenes as they’ll guide you to where you need to go, before returning to the final dungeon to reveal the true ending.
Keep in mind that once you meet the requirements for the true ending, you won’t be able to get the regular ending again in that save file.

Stars and Sea plot introduction
In the game “Star Ocean”, there are two special heroes, namely Valere and Zarai. They possess a unique magic called “Eclipse Magic”, the only magic that can harm the creepy creatures called “Dwellers”, created by the powerful alchemist “The Flesh Mage”.
Valere and Zal, along with their friend Garr and a skilled assassin named Sele, join forces with other heroes to fight against the conflicted inhabitants after a surprising betrayal. To find this enemy, they will need to complete a challenging mission guided by the alchemist Resh’an, once a friend of the Flesh Mage.
Along the way, they discover a greater conflict between the two alchemists, who span different universes. They also gained the power to become super-powerful guardian angels. The story can take different paths, and players can even change the ending with some clever tricks involving time travel. It’s all about saving the world from chaos!
