In Starfield, a “beer run” is an optional mission in which you help a woman named Sarah. She wants you to destroy her brother-in-law Henry’s beer so he and her husband can focus on more important projects. You can do this by tampering with Henry’s beer-making machine.
After that, you need to wait for the beer to be brewed and see how people react to it at a local hotel. Finally, you can report to Sarah for a reward, or you can tell Henry about Sarah’s plan for a bigger reward. In this mission, you can choose to help Sarah or go against her plans.

Starfield Beer Run Walkthrough and Guide
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to complete your beer run mission. This guide contains spoilers for Starfield’s main story and side quests.

Step 1: Talk to Sarah Fairburn To start the quest, you can either overhear it from the Akira City Guard or talk to Sarah Fairburn directly. To talk to Sarah, start at the Akira City Spaceport Gate and follow these instructions:

Go up the stairs to the right of The Rock’s front door.

Take the second right before Cartwright Manor.

Go down a flight of stairs and turn left.
-
Continue east until you reach Weston Filburn’s House on the left.

Enter the house and talk to Sarah and learn about the quest.

Step 2: Sabotage the Latest Batch of Henry’s Beer Your mission is to tamper with Henry’s beer supply. Exit Sarah’s residence, go down the stairs opposite the front door, and follow these instructions:

Turn left into the recreation area.

Go through the fence on the left.

Look for the Fairburn Agricultural Brewing Computer on the wall near the metal silo.

Access your computer and select one of the following options:

Increase temperature by 20°C (destruction successful)
-
Increase IBU to 160 (destruction successful)
-
Increase alcohol content (mission failed)

Step 3: Wait a Day for the Beer to Brew After selecting one of the destruction options, you will need to wait 24 hours for the beer to brew. To do this, sit on any chair or lie on any bed. After 24 hours, your mission objectives will be updated.
Step 4: See the reaction to Henry’s latest beer Head to the Stoneroot Inn to see how people are reacting to Henry’s beer. From the playground, please follow these instructions:

Go up the stairs to the northeast.

Walk under the overpass.

Turn left and head north.
-
Turn left again and head west.

Look for the Stone Root Inn on your left.
Inside the hotel, find Kate Foley. If you don’t choose to increase the alcohol content on Philburn’s computer, Kate will suggest that they stop serving Henry’s beer.

Step 5: Report to Sarah Fairburn. Return to Sarah’s house in the southern end of Akira City and tell her “Henry’s beer has been processed”. She will reward your efforts.
Optional Step: Tell Henry Sarah’s Plan You can choose to tell Henry Sarah’s plan instead of ruining Henry’s beer. That’s it:

Exit Fairburn House and turn right heading west.

Pass the Fairburn Farming System and enter the Henry Fairburn House.

Tell Henry about Sarah’s plot. Henry will reward you with at least 300 more points than Sarah and the mission will end immediately.
