The Best MCW Builds in MW3, Loadout, Gameplay and More

MCW built into MW3

The MCW is an excellent assault rifle that strikes a good balance between a controllable rate of fire and powerful lethality. This gun is known for its predictable recoil, making it lethal at all ranges.

Whether fighting enemies up close or taking precision shots from a distance, the MCW’s versatility and consistent performance make it the first choice for experienced players. Its reliability and powerful punch make it a powerful weapon capable of dominating the battlefield in the hands of a skilled operator.

The best MCW builds in MW3

Select MK. 3 Reflective optics:

  • Select MK. 3 reflectors as your primary optics. It provides clear vision without any loss, making it suitable for most multiplayer gaming situations.

Equip the Shadow Strike Suppressor:

  • Choosing Shadowstrike Suppressor stays off the radar without any negative impact on MCW. Its unique advantages make it the best suppressor choice for this structure.

To connect the 16.5″ MCW cyclone barrel:

  • Choose the 16.5-inch MCW Cyclone Long Barrel to optimize your bullet velocity, range, idle swing, and shot-aiming stability. This accessory helps a lot in controlling recoil.

Choose the RB Regal Heavy Duty Stock:

  • Choose the RB Regal Heavy Duty Stock for improved recoil and kick control. While dash shooting and ADS speed will be slightly affected, the pros outweigh the cons.

Choose XTEN Phantom-5 controller:

  • Equipped with the XTEN Phantom-5 Handstop as your downtube accessory. This enhances ADS and dash fire rate, providing bonuses to vertical recoil and gun kick control.

Manage Sprint to Fire and ADS speeds:

  • Acknowledging the slight penalty to sprint fire and ADS speed from the RB Regal heavy stock. If you prefer an alternative, consider the RB Claw-PSL grip, but be aware of the increased recoil at longer ranges.

Experience improved recoil management:

  • Combined, these attachments create an MCW structure that provides superior recoil management. Practice aiming slightly downward while holding the trigger for a laser-like shooting experience.

Test your build on the shooting range:

  • Head to the shooting range and master the recoil mode. With practice, you’ll become a formidable threat, able to effectively take down targets in a variety of situations.

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III” is a first-person shooter developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision Blizzard. This game is the twentieth game in the “Call of Duty” series and the third game in the rebooted “Modern Warfare” sub-series, following the events of 2022’s “Modern Warfare II”.

The game was released on November 10, 2023 on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. “Modern Warfare III” retains the realistic and contemporary setting of the previous game and continues the overall narrative of the series.

The storyline revolves around the multinational Special Operations Forces Task Force 141 as they hunt down Vladimir Makarov, a Russian ultranationalist and terrorist who plans to incite World War III. The multiplayer portion of the game features remastered versions of all 16 base maps from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, with additional maps being prepared for post-launch updates.

“Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” gameplay

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III offers similar gameplay to its predecessor, Modern Warfare II, and the broader Call of Duty series. It retains features such as slide to cancel, and introduces “open combat missions” in the campaign, allowing players to approach targets more freely.

In multiplayer mode, all 16 maps of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be accessible at launch. Players can vote for maps in the matchmaking lobby, a feature returning after being omitted from some recent games. The game also increases the player’s health, thereby extending the “time to kill” (TTK).

The “red dot” minimap, which was not present in Modern Warfare 2019, is back with a vengeance, showing the location of enemies when they fire unsuppressed weapons. Classic game modes like Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint are back, along with a new mode called Cutthroat. Ground War and War modes return with dedicated maps, and AI-driven moderation can identify and report toxic behavior. More than a dozen new multiplayer maps will be released at launch.

A highlight is the novel open-world PvE Zombies mode developed in partnership between Treyarch and Sledgehammer Games. Unlike traditional turn-based Zombies, it follows a DMZ mode structure, with up to 24 players forming squads to battle zombies and AI-controlled human enemies to complete objectives, collect loot, and extract items. The mode introduces “zones” instead of rounds, with escalating difficulty levels. Aetherstorms and narrative-driven story missions add depth to the experience.
